Levain Bakery was founded in 1995 on West 74th Street in New York City by friends Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald. Its 6-ounce Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie became famous after The New York Times called it possibly the largest, most divine chocolate chip cookie in Manhattan.
